Proposal to Merge with Montara Mountain edit

Mild Do Not Merge: Tough call, because so far, Wikipedia is very inconsistent about articles about protected areas and core physical features, at least on a state and local level. The most obvious parallels would be Mount Tamalpais and Mount Diablo. In the case of the former, Mount Tamalpais State Park has a separate article, but with the latter, the state park listing redirects to the article on Mount Diablo. With National Parks, the geographical feature and the park typically each get their own article (see Grand Canyon vs. Grand Canyon National Park and Mount Rainier vs. Mount Rainier National Park).

I tend to think that McNee Ranch should continue to have its own short article strictly about the state park, but with a predominate "See also" or "Major reference" leading to the Montara Mountain article. Peter G Werner (talk) 03:51, 30 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to Rename to McNee Ranch or merge with Montara State Beach edit

McNee Ranch is not a State Park by itself. It's part of Montara State Beach. So it either should be renamed to simply McNee Ranch, or possibly better, merged with the Montara State Beach page. (btw: this is my first talk comment, so I'm not sure of all the protocols involved.)
