About the Issues edit

i edited the article removing the following issues {{Fancruft}} {{in-universe}} because i don't think that they are really pertinent to this specific article.
1) no fansite: where's the excessive trivia and irrelevant praise, criticism, lists and collections of links? There's no trivia section and it seems to me that the article is balanced between praise and criticism. Also there's no collection of random links but only the needed references/sources linked to the article. Before adding it again please try to use this page in order to give more useful suggestions otherwise people can't understand what they could do in order to improve the article. Try to be more specific about the issues of the article
2) not really in-universe only. The article does provide basic informations about the show, quotes from the writers/producers, a reception section with informations about the actor and why he was chosen and the needed references. Try to be more specific about what should be changed or place the issue template in the specific part of the article that is still too in-universe

Trying to be more specific i believe that a part of the fictional biography is too long compared to the rest. I'm talking about the season 3 section. In my opinion it should be more summarized like the others.

Less in-universe, references and issues edit

I tried to make the article less in-universe by adding quotes and references to the writers/producers of the series and some of their opinions about the character. I believe that they're are relevant for the article and they provide a reliable source of informations about the character's profile. Further references could be added. I also added a small note about the differences between the original character created by Melinda Metz and the one this article is about in order to further clarify the content of this article.

I noticed an incorrect information into this article that i corrected. Into previous versions Tess Harding was mentioned as his wife into the infobox character (while Liz Parker was removed). This is an information that i noticed into other articles about the other hybrids too ( Michael Guerin, Isabel Evans, Tess Harding).
I believe that the information is incorrect, irrelevant for the specific article and misleading for the reader since it's based on the assumption that Max Evans and Zan are not only the same identical person but the marriage between Zan and Ava is valid for the laws of our world too. This is something that the series never stated. Also the article is about Max not his predecessor and alien donor.
For the canon the assumption that Max and Zan are really the same person is merely based on the antarian's opinion and original plans while by the end of the series it was clear that a clone can't be the same identical person his original donor was and Max chose a completely different path nor he really considered himself Zan in the conclusion of the series. There's no real evidence that Zan and Max are the same identical person (especially since the only evidence we have about what the antarians did is that they mixed Zan's DNA with the DNA of a human donor in order to create what in the human race is called "clone" or hybrid. No one ever stated and proved that Zan's soul was transfered into Max so Zan is now alive again inside a half human body.) and there's no real evidence that Zan and Ava's marriage can be considered valid for the human laws. (not to mention that, generally, a marriage is a vow that ends with death and Zan and Ava died. assuming that Zan and Ava's marriage could be considered valid here too and that Zan and Max are really the same identical person, in the first place)

Max Evans, the character this article is really about, never married Tess Harding (or Ava) into the series/his own current life nor she was ever betrothed to him. Nor he considered himself (or was considered by society) a widower (assuming that she really died in the episode "Four aliens and a baby") or a bigamous (assuming that she didn't die) when he wanted to marry and married Liz Parker. The only woman he ever married and can be considered his only rightful wife is Liz Parker (He married her in the episode "Graduation". Also, he married her into another temporal dimension represented by Future Max in the episode "The end of the world") and even though the wedding happened only in the last episode the information is still correct and relevant because a "spouse" isn't only someone to whom people are married since a long time (and the noun "spouse" is generally used for betrothed people too) and we have evidence that they really married.

Copyedit edit

  • I have fixed the grammar, typos and sentence structure in Season 1 and 2. Added a section titled Powers (which should be expanded). Please contact me to copyedit Season 3 when it is done.CharleenmercedFile:SoleteRayosÑajo.gif 18:13, 15 February 2007 (UTC)CharleenmercedReply
I re-copyedited this on August 30, 2008 and removed the quote at the beginning because it violated the WikiProject Television style guidelines. The season sections need to be rewritten. *momoricks* (talk) 12:35, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
