"Queer" or "Homosexual" for Masala (Boston)

• The original disambiguation for Masala (Boston) used the word "queer" rather than "homosexual" for the very good reason that this is the word used by MASALA to describe itself [1]. I've added a hyperlink to homosexual to remove any confusion. Neither "queer" nor "homosexual" is a more neutral term than the other: both, along with other terms such as "gay", "LGBT", "GLBT" etc., are neutral terms with varying shades of meaning. Given that MASALA itself uses "queer" and that this is a term widely used and understood both in homosexual/gay/queer/LGBT organizations and in the broader public, it seems wisest to use this term for disambiguation. The Oxford English Dictionary traces the etymology from English to Arabic as follows:

"Etymology: < Urdu maṣālā, variant of maṣāliḥ ingredients, materials, condiments, spices, etc. < Persian maṣāliḥ < Arabic maṣāliḥ, plural of maṣlaḥa matter, affair, benefit, source of improvement < ṣalaḥa to be proper, to be serviceable or suitable."

I'm not very good with IPA, but it is stressed on the second sylable, so as to be pronounced "muh-SAA-la". --83.226.64.212 (talk) 17:52, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Bahut dino se mein aapko aapke product yani MAGGI MASALA NOODLES ke bare mein kuch batana chahti hun aur kuch suggest bhi nkarna chahti hun. BAchpan se mein maggi khati aa rahi hun bahut pasand hai mujhe lakin tab bacche hone ke karan mfg. date aur exp. date ki koi info nahi hua karti thi so we don,t bother. Magar Yahan USA mein bahut se bachelor Indians aur zadatar working couples Maggi bahut bahit quantity mein pasand karte hai bcoz jaldi ban jati hai aur tasty bhi hoti hai maybe aap logon ko ye pata hoi magar point is ki plz plz plz jis tarhan aap Maggi ke pack per best before ki date clearly laikhte hai vaise hi MFG. date clearly likha kare aapse meri request hai u write mfg. date & lot no. etc aon the side panel jo mujhe aaj tak nahi dikha aur sabse badi baat ki kisi ne kaha ki maggi kharab nahi hoti agar kharab nahi hoti to best before likhne ki kya zarurat hia ok aur ek din yahan maine maggi karidi aur jab vo boil ho rahi thi us mein se greenish color naiklme lage like fungus aur u can say kai ok dan maine MAGGI AATA NOODEL try kiya aur aaj jab mein use boile kar rahi thi to pani ki upar ki layer per GHUN (Small brown color insects) teer rahe the jo ki aate me9in paaye jaate hai to main sirf itna keh rahi hun ki plz is per thoda dhyan dijiye plz bcoz ye aap logon ki rozi roti hai aur yahan ke Indians ki aur bahut sr chote chote bacchon ki jo maggi baut pasand karte hai plz in sab logon ki health ke baare mein sooche plz.
