Patron Saints edit
I am modifying the article to list St. Joseph and St. Charles separately. St. Joseph is probably the husband of Mary, but there are other options, including some born in Italy. St. Charles is more vague; the link is to a disambiguation page which boasts at least three Italians.--Gaarmyvet (talk) 00:47, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Clarification edit
It's not exactly correct to write that the town "was not occupied by the Romans". Given that the Romans occupied the area corresponding more or less to current Emilia-Romagna c. 100 BCE, would be better to write that it "was not directly affected by Roman civilization, and when c. 100-200 CE a rustic Roman villa was built nearby, the old Etruscan and Celtic town, already buried under a blanket of earth, was grazing land for sheep and cattle".
