Needs updating edit

E.g., MH Quartet, MH Septet, MH Octet, John Zorn, Tomeka Reid Quartet, studying under A Braxton... (I don't have time to do this myself right now.) Acwilson9 (talk) 22:39, 19 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Discography: Recategorizing "Solo" Albums edit

Halvorson's discography is currently (11.22.19) split into "Solo Albums" and "Collaborations"; of the 24 albums in the first category, only one is a solo record. She's bandleader for many of the others, but a number are definitely "collaborations"––several appear in both lists, Hotel Grief was released by the Tom Rainey Trio, etc. I'm reorganizing the discography into "As Bandleader" and "Selected Collaborations," and adding a few records on which she's co-lead. If anyone has thoughts on how to better organize this, take it away. // Knifegames (talk) 23:17, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Putting together all the ones that's she leader or co-leader of makes sense. "Selected" anything is a bad idea. I've put the leader discog into a more desirable format; a lot of the detail needs to be found and added to the "Notes" section of it. If I remember, I'll get back to it later (I usually do jazz pianists). EddieHugh (talk) 21:55, 9 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Axe "Concert Tours" Section? edit

This is a person who will probably eventually need a separate discography page; it seems both impractical and unnecessary to try to list all relevant tours... // Knifegames (talk) 01:08, 23 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Separate discography page? edit

It strikes me that Mary Halvorson's discography section is already larger than most artists', and yet it still isn't fully complete. Her work as leader seems to be comprehensive and up to date, but she has numerous collaborations not mentioned - on her own website, she has a discography listed, and Rick Lopez is working on a full sessionography. To try and make her discography more comprehensive, while also not flooding her entire page, I suggest that we split her discography into a separate page. --The Posthuman Demian (talk) 13:43, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
