This article should contain more info on his work on French medieval ballads, since it seems that's what he has recieved the most international acclaim for. In my little corner of the world he is primarily known as the performer of Bellman and other Swedish songs, so that's where I end up. Some of the sources contain more info that could be used, but since I am unsure of the significance and the reliability of the sources I hesitate to add it. --Stighammar (talk) 14:15, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
From lists of musicians on old LPs i gather that in early 1970s not only Best but his entire group, the Martin Best Consort, was acting as backup musicians for Sven-Bertil Taube. This was before Best started singing Bellman. So what brought him here... there is no real biography on this guy somewhere, is it? --Stighammar (talk) 16:09, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Royal Shakespeare Company edit
This page [1] says "five years with the RSC". The other source "30 years associated with". Both could be true... not sure how to phrase this, though. --Stighammar (talk) 19:55, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
