the sweet dream is small?

hang on a sec,i thought the sweet dream bored is the biggest in the game! i think the toy dream bored is the smallest of all. if you play the sweet dream bored, you can tell its the largest.Touth 01:08, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup tag

Why has another cleanup tag been issued when there was already one tagging the entire article? I have replaced the mini-game categories with sub-headings in case it was because it was hard to find the mini-game you were looking for. Henchman 2000 19:32, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Ack!! What exactly does this list contribute to the article?? a short paragraph would do so much more. as per WP:CRUFT such information is only interesting to a fan of the game, someone who's never played it is not going to have any interest in such a list, and besides, Wikipedia is not Gamefaqs (someone should add write an essay on this and submit it under Wikipedia is not...). Anyone looking for the specific minigames can go see a game-centric website for such info; it's unencyclopedic. Gene S. Poole 02:34, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Since the article shows Sweet Dream as an example of a board, perhaps one minigame could be chosen as an example as well? For instance, if there was a screenshot of the minigame Coney Island, the blurb could say, "One 4v4 minigame, called Coney Island, has players catch falling scoops of ice cream to have the tallest ice cream cone". 23.228.173.149 (talk) 17:13, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Remove the "japanese" name?

• "which began with Mario Party in 1998." - dunno that stating this is vital to the reader's understanding of the game.
• Why is http://www.armchairempire.com/Reviews/GameCube/mario-party-5.htm reliable?
• Can the last paragraph of the lead by beefed up a bit? It stands out as rather short.
• "The game's boards incorporate the theme of the Dream Depot, with each having "Dream" at the end of the title" - somewhat loopy writing with the "with each having" etc... the prose could do with a bit of smoothing out, basically. Eg. reword this to "The game's boards incorporate the theme of the Dream Depot, with each "Dream" at the end of the title" (and what's "title"? first usage of that word in the article)
• "If only you didn't have to deal with all that BS in-between." - context. Person who hasn't played the game doesn't know how much BS there is, or what it is.
• "were mainly the least enthusiastic about" - uggh, reword a bit?

Yeah, I'm in a mood right now where the cost of using the energy to try and justify its reliability is outweighing the benefit of the source. But I suppose this one is actually quite important as it's the only English site I could find that actually talks about the arcade game. Reception of the soundtrack, etc

GameSpot gave this game a 6.9/10 which implies they've played it before, yet they comment that the soundtrack is "largely recycled from Mario Party 4?" Anyone who's actually played both games know that is absolutely false. Aya Tanaka composed for this game, Ichiro Shimakura for Mario Party 4. Tanaka did not recycle much music at all, and the game has its own unique aural identity. Tanaka feels more laid back, her arrangements are more open/spacious (while Shimakura makes great use of frenetic/frantic melodic lines and drum parts), and she makes excellent use of double bass to impart her own flavor (while Shimakura uses that squelchy fretless electric bass that makes Mario Parties 3 + 4 so uniquely his).

Also, has anyone taken a good peek at the Japanese version of this page? It's long as heck!! OsoBearMan (talk) 19:49, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
