high school graduate

Please could this term be explained? Does it involve a qualification or does it just mean she completed her time at secondary school? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 22:15, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

The Swedish school system has changed repeatedly in the last hundred years or so. Based on when she was born, I would say that she likely has not passed a formal "graduation exam" like the German Abitur; however, that the requirements for GPA and the level of education were still sufficiently strict (unlike today...) that attendance and minimal efforts were not enough to pass. Still, it is a high school degree---nothing more. 188.100.204.157 (talk) 22:02, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
