General edit

  • @Grnrchst: just to let you know that I will be reviewing this article withing the next few days. I aware that you are undergoing a FA review, so take your time if needed! The Blue Rider   00:27, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Lead edit

  • Remove «relatively».
  • The reason why she joined PLM isn't in the body of the article.

Biography edit

  • Is it known which city/town/village she was born? Edit: I see that source #1 says it isn't.
  • Aye at best you get differing speculations, but none of them seem more accurate than just saying "Sonora".
  • Decapitalize and put in italics «mestizo».
  • Is Pascual Gortari the 1st, 2nd or 3rd husband?
  • I'm not sure, none of the sources say. --Grnrchst (talk) 12:58, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • How old was Rosaura when she joined the PLM? Or alternatively, add the year she was born in the 1st paragraph.
  • Not sure, none of the sources say. --Grnrchst (talk) 12:58, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • «left her more conservative husband», by husband I assume you mean Pascual (?).
  • Sources just say her "husband", one even says "boyfriend". :/ --Grnrchst (talk) 12:58, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Done. --12:58, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
  • How did women played a «a spectacular part in the revolution»?
  • Did they manage to overthrow the goverment of Baja California? Likewise for the capture of Mexicali.
  • There was no "government of Baja California", because it was just a territory at the time. It wasn't admitted as a state, with its own government, until 1952. It's more like the Magonistas captured parts of Baja California during the power vacuum created by the revolution - they captured it from the Porfiriato but it later came under the control of the Maderistas then the Huertistas. --Grnrchst (talk) 12:58, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Who is Ricardo Magón and how does he know she said that to her husband and that she died with a smile on her face??
  • Magón was the leader of the PLM. And I don't think he did, these were dramatisations he wrote into his eulogy. He was a playwright, after all. --Grnrchst (talk) 12:58, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Per some rule of Wikipedia, the quotation needs to have the original text, founded at Espino Becerril 2015, above the translation.
  • The big one, «I love you but...».
  • @The Blue Rider: This quote is also in English language sources and in the English translation of Flores Magón's article (see Further reading). Do I still need to include the original text? --Grnrchst (talk) 12:30, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Ah, found the policy, MOS:FOREIGNQUOTE. It says "If the original, untranslated text is available, provide a reference for it or include it, as appropriate." So in this case, I think its fine. The Blue Rider   12:46, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Legacy edit

  • A tad overquoting in this section, no? If possible, rephrase.
  • Probably, but I wasn't sure how else to write it at the time. I'll have a look at rewriting. --Grnrchst (talk) 13:03, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Alright, everything looks fine. Will be passing the article. The Blue Rider   12:46, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Who is Benjamin H. Abbott? Perhaps put his their profession.
  • Clarified. Having looked into them, I just realised I was using the wrong pronoun, so I corrected that too. --Grnrchst (talk) 13:03, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
