What has greatness to do with Man? Are you sure that Latin Magnus meaning great is the origin of Man, and not Sanskrit Manus meaning Man as the origin of Man, considering this as more logical and for Sanskrit being older than Latin ?

Manus is a New Zealand slang term, and is featured on some other pages of Wikipedia, I am of the belief that it should be there. Nzv8fan 04:56, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Admittedly, I came to this page solely to see if it was... But I think slang terms usually have to actually mean something to actually be terms... As far as I've been able to work out manus means absolutely nothing
