Etymology

The part about the etymology is somewhat vague. What exactly about the Aborigines that made Cpt. Phillip named the place Manly? Was it because the Aborigines appeared very virile? Or just because they looked like men? Or...? --Menchi 05:32, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
