Short Summaries edit

It is important to inform the public that this series only loosely refers to real history and that key scientists like Emilio G. Segrè (who proved that the gun model would not work) and Enrico Fermi (who discovered fission, built all the nuclear reactors and sponsored the whole project with Szilard and initially Einstein) are not mentioned in the plot. There is otherwise a danger to transform fiction into reality due to the general lack of historic and scientific knowledge of the general public, especially in the United States where general public education quality is of lower level compared to European countries.92.23.103.25 (talk) 10:57, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

To SchrutedIt08.. I wrote some summaries from memory, as a starting point. How about fixing and adding too them rather than just deleting? Episode lists usually have them. The title alone says very little. 83.250.129.79 (talk) 14:19, 17 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yeah.. I wanted to add to the descriptions. Admittedly they were not the most impressive I've seen but it has to start somewhere. Now I don't know if I should bother when some editor will just show up and delete everything. I mean was it those summaries in particular or are we against summaries on principle for this particular tv series? 81.233.167.162 (talk) 10:25, 23 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

One of the many reasons people are not interested in contributing to Wikipedia is the editor arrogance here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.235.48.14 (talk) 14:13, 23 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I agree with the above statement around the arrogance of the editor. I provided fact based contribution and it was removed. I have now put it back, but if it is removed again I will no longer contribute.

So, everything led us to conclude the editor is a yankee and the Manhattan Project was also due to a chinese scientis. I mean, didn't saying the bomb defeated Japan (whereas they were been overpowered by Russians on the manchurian front) suffice? 188.13.129.169 (talk) 21:29, 4 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

It seems strange for the Plot section to try to explain about the plot instead of including more of a plot overview. That the show is not historically accurate, and whatever connections to real life people there were are probably better explained in the Production section.
The creator of the show Sam Shaw explained that they did not intend to be historically accurate, in contrast to Law and Order with their ripped from the headlines approach to storytelling. Then again he does say many of the ideas in the show are inspired by history, comparing a speech given by one of the characters to arguments made by Edward Teller, so there are some connections that could be mentioned. -- 109.78.252.80 (talk) 16:29, 17 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
