I've added an external link and 3 references but I still get a notation: "This article needs additional citations for verification. (August 2012)" How do I get rid of this message?

This article is linked from and to Malton, Ontario but I still get a notation: "This article is an orphan, as no other articles link to it. (August 2012)" How do I get rid of this message?
