Name

Isn't it Makednes the nominative of Makednon (Δήμος Μακεδνών)?--84.238.210.38 09:34, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

I had added a sentence in the article in order to clarify this point, but it got deleted, because it apparently was unreferenced or irrelevant or trivial. So, I am repeating it here for whomever is interested: "Makednes is an erroneous nominative plural of Μακεδνών based on the existing toponymic grammatical pattern Σερρών-Σέρρες, Αρρένων-Άρρενες, Ακριτών-Ακρίτες, which however does not apply in this case." --Omnipaedista (talk) 00:11, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
