This article has no mention of the arcade version developed by Nihon Bussan and distributed by Nichibutsu. This article has no mention of actual gameplay. It fails to mention the above ground horizontal scrolling part of the screen with up and down panning, nor does it mention the underground part of the screen that plays more like a horizontal scrolling shoot-em-up with very slight up and down panning. This article does not mention the entry and exit holes for going between above ground to the underground. This article has no mention about upgrading the spaceship into a robot as the an intended goal during gameplay. Collecting the head, legs, and plasma gun is the full robot. Head section is required to hold the plasma gun, so losing the head due to an enemy shot also loses the plasma gun. Head and ship is possible without the plasma gun. Legs and ship only is possible without the head. The ship is only fully destroyed when it has no robot parts. Source? Actually play the arcade version of MagMax.

The Nintendo Entertainment System version (by FCI, as shown in the graphic of this article) is somewhat close in gameplay with simpler graphics. However, it also uses the wrong music--such as using a faster version of the arcade intitials screen music for the underground section--so it gets very irritating to play that version. Source? Play the NES version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.19.255.129 (talk) 08:10, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
