Replacing imagery.

I have an image I think would suit this page better than the current one. It's one of my Classic II, taken by myself - although the current one is also quite good. What's the proper procedure for replacing an existing picture if it could be a matter of opinion which is the best? Just be bold and go ahead, if you think it's really better. If someone disagrees, you will be reverted, in which case you should discuss the matter on that person's talk page, or, if more people get involved, the article talk page. If you yourself are not sure which one is better, bring it up on the talk page (only works well on articles that see at least a medium amount of traffic) or find people who care about the topic - the creator and major editors of the page, or a WikiProject if applicable, and ask on the respective talk pages. 68882 optional?

Was the 68882 really optional on this machine? As in, there was an empty FPU socket sitting there that you could plug a 68882 into? If the 68882 was available only by means of a peripheral card, I don't think it's accurate to list it as an optional feature of the machine, any more than a 68040 was an optional feature of the machine because that could be added by means of a peripheral card. It is not a generic expansion slot. The slot was intended specifically for a card containing a 68882 and ROM and only those parts. Here's a quote from the developer note:

Apple strongly discourages the development of a third-party FPU/ROM card for any type of internal expansion other than a 68882 FPU coprocessor or additional ROM. This includes any internal hardware modifications such as clipping on to the main processor.

There are several reasons given why you cannot use the slot for anything else including power, heat, EMI and addressing reasons. So I think it's correct to describe this part as optional. Apple also describe it as an "optional" card in their literature. --Kesfan 20:08, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
