MS SovereignMS Sovereign of the Seas – reason for move: Vessel has been scrapped, so the page should be moved to her original name Angelgreat (talk) 02:32, 19 May 2021 (UTC) Relisting. ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 08:03, 28 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Generally, a ship is housed at its current/last name, unless there is a compelling reason not to, such as significant history under a previous name. Mjroots (talk) 08:30, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • The Vessel has been scrapped, so the page should be moved to her original name. Whenever a ship is scrapped, Wikipedia moves the vessel page to the vessel's original name whenever possible. I know there are exceptions especially if a vessel's later name is more popular, but I think the vessel page should be moved. Angelgreat (talk) 02:33, 19 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose by default since I haven't seen any evidence that nominator's claim that "Whenever a ship is scrapped, Wikipedia moves the vessel page to the vessel's original name" is a policy that has consensus. I asked them about this at the RM at Talk:MS Magellan but haven't got a response. Registering my !vote now since this is approaching 7 days, but happy to reconsider if new evidence is presented. (Sorry for the copy-pasted comment. But I think these three articles should probably have been packaged in one multi-RM.) Colin M (talk) 19:55, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
