They won the RIC Energy Efficiency 1997 for the green design of the building;[2] however it was later questioned about it being environmentally friendly due to large number of employees who travel there by car.[3]

Cost £254million and formally opened by queen in July 1996. Biggest relocation of British departments bringing together 15 offices (4,400 staff). 98 acre site surrounded by lake for security. Strategic planner: DEGW. Architect: Percy Thomas Partnership. Based on a neighbourhood design.[4]

Change Title edit

The British government refers to the Ministry of Defence as the MOD, not the MoD. How do we change the title of the page? Blanks102 (talk) 23:52, 11 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
