I found this line in the article:

I changed it to this:
The former format is bizarre and obnoxious, switching back and forth every few characters between TeX and non-TeX notation. The latter is standard use of TeX—not only within Wikipedia, but in the larger world.
Why would someone write something so obnoxious?
