Multimedia Command edit

"Multimedia Command" or "Multimedia Command Set" was first introduced to this page on 21:13, January 1, 2005. That's nearly two years ago, yet there's still no sign of an article. If you're informed on the subject then please, knock out a quick stub so that it can be linked to. Until then I'm going to remove it as per the Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages): "Links to non-existent articles ("redlinks") may be included only when an editor is confident that an encyclopedia article could be written on the subject.. Adding links to articles not yet written should be done with care. There is no need to brainstorm all occurrences of the page title and create redlinks to articles that are unlikely ever to be written". --DeLarge 16:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mandatory Managed Copy edit

From the FAQ at blu-ray.com [1]

Will Blu-ray support mandatory managed copy?
Yes, mandatory managed copy (MMC) will be part of the Blu-ray format. This feature will enable consumers to make legal copies of their Blu-ray movies that can be transferred over a home network. Please note that "mandatory" refers to the movies having to offer this capability, while it will be up to each hardware manufacturer to decide if they want to support this feature.

Re HD-DVD, nothing useful on this at DVD Forum site (!) but e.g. HP gave MMC as a reason why they backed HD-DVD. [2]

...two customer-friendly technologies, Mandatory Managed Copy and iHD, which are already included in the HD-DVD format...Mandatory Managed Copy...permits consumers to make legal copies of video content
