Legal Action edit

The recent oxygen event MCD went on pure damage control and basically threatend legal action against any website that presented them in a negative way. This was after claims online where made of peoples tents being set on fire and other things happening.

This article reads like it was written by an MCD employee.

Some edits ([1], [2], [3]) were - the editor in question claimed to be an employee in the summary of the first edit. Hopefully most of the worst POV has been excised from the article.Autarch (talk) 12:30, 27 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tidying edit

I took a scythe to the blatant pro-MCD POV in the article. It might need a bit more work, but it's a lot more NPOV now.Autarch (talk) 17:36, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

More legal edit

Haven't yet worked them into the article but there are further legal cases not yet mentioned.

[4] Sophie Ridley claims she is being “scapegoated” after problems at the Oasis concert at Slane and the AC/DC concert at Punchestown, both in June, and at the Metallica and Fatboy Slim concerts in Marlay Park on August 1 and 2. [2010]

[5] Eamon McCann told Denis Desmond he had cancer, the two founders of MCD in court over profit shares and a 2006 agreement by Desmond to buy out McCann.

I think a seperate article on Denis Desmond himself is needed to properly group together his different holdings such as 50% of Abrakebabra or his interest in Aspace which far as I can tell is not relevant to this article. Business and Finance have a pretty good profile of Desmond for anyone interested in starting an article but plenty of paraphrasing and some other sources would be needed for a good article. I suspect making sure the neutral POV is maintained might also require a lot of work. -- Horkana (talk) 16:40, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 04:31, 27 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
