Meyer Bergman rebrand to MARK edit

  • What I think should be changed: The first paragraph.

MARK, formerly Meyer Bergman, is a multi-platform investment management firm with more than €7 billion in assets under management.[1] MARK was formed as Meyer Bergman in 2004 by its chairman, Ton Meijer, and its chief executive officer, Marcus Meijer from the holdings of the former MAB Group. [2]

  • Why it should be changed: To reflect the fact that Meyer Bergman rebranded to MARK in October 2020.

Updating Meyer Bergman page to reflect the company's recent activity edit

  • What I think should be changed (include citations):

Hello wikipedia editors, thank you so much for your help with the MARK/Meyer Bergman page. I think more can be done to update this page to reflect more up to date information about MARK in 2021.

The introduction should be updated to include the fact that MARK now manages more than €7 bn in assets, rather than six. See the suggestion below:

MARK, formerly Meyer Bergman, is a multi-platform investment management firm with more than €7 billion in assets under management.[1] MARK was formed as Meyer Bergman in 2004 by its chairman, Ton Meijer, and its chief executive officer, Marcus Meijer from the holdings of the former MAB Group. [2]

The 'strategy' section could also be updated to reflect MARK's strategy goals as of their rebranding in October 2020. Below:

MARK's strategies run parallel to their closed-ended value-add funds, focusing on mixed-use real estate throughout Europe and the United States.

MARK’s strategy focuses on repurposing and repositioning under-utilised assets in urban gateway locations throughout Europe. [3]

Under the 'Developments' section of the page, it would be good to change each name from 'Meyer Bergman' to 'MARK', while adding in a recent update on the topic of Borough Yards acquisition. Here is a suggestion below, with the reference below:

In 2016, MARK acquired Borough Yards, situated in the London Borough of Southwark next to Borough Market. Due for completion in 2021, Borough Yards will include workspace, retail, gallery, restaurants, and a cinema. [4]

In addition, the Queensway paragraph is currently undated - it would be good if you add in that Queensway was acquired in 2013.[5]

Finally, the 'funds' section could be updated to reflect the name change, and the fact that MARK's investments total €7 billion:

MARK advises four closed-ended, value-add real estate funds, the VIA Outlet Venture, and co-investments totalling more than €7 billion of assets under management on behalf of global institutional investors, which include pension funds, endowments and asset managers from Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.[6]

  • Why it should be changed: To reflect the rebrand from Meyer Bergman to MARK more generally, as well as to update information about MARK, making the page more reflective of the company's activities in 2021.

Done. All references to LinkedIn were removed because it is not considered a reliable source. If you would like the page renamed MARK, please submit an edit request for the change. Thanks, Heartmusic678 (talk) 13:11, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
