Infobox edit

With the infobox in Section=0, there was a lot of white space on the left. The existing layout isn't ideal either - it would be better with the infobox starting at the top of the page but section=1 starting partway down the infobox rather than at the bottom of both the infobox and the image.Garrie 01:09, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Going Cashless edit

Cashless motorways are now the norm, gone with the days of leaving loose change in the car - Which is a good thing I think, because of untrustworthness of people flogging coins from your own jar.

Currently or to become cashless motorways/tollways:

  • M2 (December 2007)
  • SHT (July 2007)
  • M7
  • CCT
  • LCT

Yet to be cashless motorways/tollways:

  • ED
  • SHB
  • M4
  • M5

Freeways/Expressways (free and no toll):

  • Cahill Expressway
  • Gore Hill Freeway
  • Warringah Freeway/Expressway
  • Southern Cross Drive
  • General Homes Drive
  • M5 East —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.168.57.62 (talk) 08:51, 13 May 2007 (UTC).Reply

VPD (Vehicles per day) edit

It is a total 'sham' of the pollies to lie and deceat, etc about the number of VPD in the LCT (Lane Cove Tunnel)

  • Expected to be 100,000 from 26 April 2007.
  • Today (from June 2007) only half that at 50,000.

Shame, Shame, Shame (as Darin Hinch whould say) on you Eric! (the roads minister of NSW) - He should get the full sacking for mis-management, NOT listening to community groups and incomedence!!!

Proposed Lane Cove Road ramp section edit

Should this be moved to the Lane Cove Tunnel article? It's obvious M2 would never make the ramp because it's past the toll booths. I can only ever see it be being introduced as part of the lane cove tunnel as a toll ramp similar to what they did with the falcon street ramps 129.78.64.100 07:32, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Transurban has submitted a proposal to build this ramp (with a separate toll of $1.80 for light vehicles) as a variation to the M2 Upgrade Project. The Department of Planning and Infrastructure has issued Director General's Requirements for the environmental assessment (to be prepared by the proponent). 203.3.232.28 (talk) 23:42, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Australian motorway HILLS M2.jpg edit

Image:Australian motorway HILLS M2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:Australian motorway Westlink M7.jpg edit

The image Image:Australian motorway Westlink M7.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Cleanup edit

I have been through the article doing some major copy-editing to help it read better. I have not intentionally changed the meaning, however I am not familiar with the area of the road itself and it wasn't always clear before I started and there are precious few references so I may have done so. It would be helpful is someone who knows the road could now check it for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments. PeterEastern (talk) 04:33, 26 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
