Is this weapon autmatic

Stand alone can this be used in full auto?

Name

The link here on the thing at the bottom calls it an XM26, the picture calls it an XM26, all the links and references call it an XM26, so wheres the X in the article? In the article name? Call me a traditionilist but I prefer using the real name for things rather than a made up or anticipated name (it is my understanding that the X gets lost when it gets fully deployed or leaves experimental stages or something, something which some weapons never got but others such as the M16, I suppose, did, but I'm rusty on modern weapons and their facts). Civilian Variant?

Is the LSS remotely street-legal? The lightweight stand-alone configuration would be an excellent home-defense weapon ... something less MILSTD along the same lines would probably be a better buy for the job, though. MrG 70.59.6.5 (talk) 19:11, 20 November 2008 (UTC) If a civilian variant were made, it would have to be much longer, since this version would be in the catagory of a sawed-off shotgun now. Inventor/Manufacturer

FWIW: The company which has invented, developed, and manufactured the XM26 MASS has remained the same, but has operated under diferent names. It has alternatively operated as C-More, Colt Competition, and Vertu Corp. The company officers and business addresses are same. --D.E. Watters (talk) 12:21, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

The picture of the weapon in use

Noticed a few things on the picture of the M26 in use. Chiefly being...

1. The m26 seems to have "Non-firing" written on it, with something else at the end. I can't make it out.

2. The M4's second magazine attached to the loaded one, seems to be blocking the ejection port. That can't be safe.

• The text is 'Non-firing demiled' [as in 'demilitarised,' I guess] presumably meaning it's a non-functional demonstration device. It looks like the shooter might have accidentally shoved the spare magazine up in the holder when he put his hand on the M26. Herr Gruber (talk) 16:33, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
