Proposed Move to Lu Zhengxiang edit

Based on the Google ngram and a look at the most recent scholarly works on the period (e.g., [1], [2], [3], [4]), "Lu Zhengxiang" has become much more widely used than "Lou Tseng-Tsiang". I propose moving this page accordingly. SilverStar54 (talk) 19:58, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Going ahead and making this move, given that there have been no objections. SilverStar54 (talk) 22:27, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Transcription edit

It says in the note on the name that the Pinyin transcription is "Lùzhǐxiáng" (which seems unlikely given that the article title has "zheng" rather than "zhi") and that the Wade-Giles transcription is "Lou Tseng-tsiang" (which should in fact be "Lu Cheng-hsiang", as in this New York Times report or this Oxford Reference entry). The subject of the article did publish under the name "Lou Tseng-Tsiang", but I would guess that's a French transcription (it certainly isn't Wade-Giles). Since that's the version of the name his books will be catalogued under, it should definitely be included, and probably more prominently than in an inaccurate note. Somebody with better knowledge of these transcription systems than me should sort this out, because as it stands even I can see that it's wrong. --Andreas Philopater (talk) 17:37, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
