Ethnicity categories

So he was born in Ukraine. But he moved to the US when aged only 5, and did all his training there, before undertaking further studies in Paris, Berlin etc.

Surely he was thoroughly Americanised, and it's misleading to categorise him as "Ukrainian classical violinist" or "Ukrainian Jew". Comments? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 20:07, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
