Age

The article doesn't explicitly state any age range for the Lost Boys. i checked the UNICEF website and it stated that the age range for the Boys was between 7 and 17 years of age. Books and Film section

An anon vandal keeps deleting the Books and Film section. It went unnoticed for 4 months, after the second deletion. I suspect it's someone unhappy about other Lost Boys getting attention, it will need to be watched. Green Cardamom (talk) 16:41, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

The Books and Film section is way too long. I'm not surprised someone tried to delete it, it takes up half the article. Information about every film or book about the Lost Boys is not particularly relevant or informative about the Lost Boys themselves. Editing this article

For some reason I can't edit the article. I wanted to change the number to 20,000 and update the IRC link (source 1), which right now mistakenly points to a documentary film. Emily, after peer reviewing this article, I have several suggestions. The main things I would edit are citing your sources more frequently and adding illustrations to support the information given. Hi Emily.johnson135 — Good job on your recent edits! Here are some recommendations for the article. I think it would be a good idea to revise existing sections, since the tone and diction of those sections detracts from content itself. Adding more scholarly sources along with this revision would help to expand the article into a more reputable summary. As I mentioned a couple times before, merging “Flight of the Lost Boys” into the section titled “History” would also make it easier to connect any chronological events, as well as provide a better organization for readers to follow. As for sourcing, I think a lot of corrections need to be made to previous work, as many of those sections have incorrect citations. Keep up the great work! Hi! Great job with the work you have contributed so far to the article. My first suggestion is to consider redesigning the content in the "Books, films and plays" section to be a table rather than a list. This would make the content more readable and clear with links to resources for learning more about each material. As for content, I suggest adding more about the long-term stays of the Lost Boys in refugee camps and how their lives were effected beyond just the initial displacement. I know the article is in the initial stages of revision, but I would also elaborate on the Lost Girls to keep the argument neutral and recognize that women were also affected during the civil war, too. Lastly, I recommend adding visuals of the camps the boys lived in and some of the Lost Boys themselves to humanize the article and provide viewers a visual to associate the article with. I think you were able to develop this article into one that at once presents a neutral and nuanced view of an important topic, while also being incredibly engaging. I agree with previous reviewers in saying that further sectioning of the article might improve readability; however, my biggest suggestion for improvement is the addition of more citations throughout the article, keeping in mind the shorthand of one citation per every one to two sentences. Beyond that, I think you’re in an excellent place with your expanded contribution and will have contributed to a really solid article by the end of this semester! I had a very fun time reading this article because it is about a section I did not know a lot about before I read your article, but think I have a much better understanding. Very great read! Your background information is very well presented and it gives the reader a good foundation. One thing that caught my eye is that a lot of the current status section is in reference to programs and agreements from over a decade ago. Maybe you could talk about some of the things that may be affecting the boys who resettled here from Sudan. I also think in the root cause of the conflict, you should link to the Darfur page – I think that is one of the identifying features of the Lost Boys and I think you would greatly benefit from the increased traffic.Romildcp (talk) 12:21, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Nice contribution. Other than the advice you've already received from your peer reviewers, I suggest you spend some time contextualizing the history section. You jump right into the "roots of the conflict" subsection without linking it to the lost boys very directly. I agree with Kalina that perhaps the Flight of the Lost Boys section could be merged with the history section. I also suggest including more citations, particularly in the lost girls section.
