Houses in proximity to dingles

As a resident of the town (and a student at a university) I was drawn to the statement in the article of "Almost 20% of the houses in town are in proximity to a 'dingle'" and its accompanying Citation Needed tag. With some very rough research, (typing in numbers and saying yeah, that looks about right, I came up with a number of 26.3%. It's final exam time right now but I'll try to refine that number a bit later (and find some way to cite myself?!)

@I-am-gizm0: I had never heard of a dingle until today. I was not able to find a source supporting the percent of dingles in Longmeadow, but did find:

• Urban Dictionary - not a reliable source for Wikipedia, it defines a dingle as "small woods containing a stream or a brook among the streets of the town of Longmeadow".
• [1] - "the town’s many dingles".
• [2] - "the signature layout of the land remains intact as the Olmsted firm planned it, complete with curvilinear streets, signature street lamps and natural features of the landscape such as streams and dingles woven into the design."
• [3] - "Longmeadow's myriad of dingles and brooks".
• [4] - defines Longmeadow's dingles as "a wooded valley", and discusses erosion problems.
