The elevation is approximately 3 meters/10 feet, not 15.2 meters/10 feet. Long Beach Peninsula is a sand spit. According to http://www.altitude.nu/, the post office is at 4 meters and city hall is at 3.4 meters - I don't know which site is used as the elevation of the whole town. There is some topography inland a bit (on the center of the sand spit) that is almost 9 meters high. Nothing at 15 meters until you get off the spit, miles away. When the Cascadia earthquake comes, the whole spit may drop perhaps 5 meters, and overtopped by a 30 meter wave. ^[1] 18:46, 12 February 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by KeithLofstrom (talk • contribs)
