Welsh terms

Adding this to explain my recent(ish) edits
It seems the Assembly (as it was then) changed from Presiding Officer to Llywydd between February 2017 and July 2017, and this article moved during the Senedd rename in 2020. I believe there is a case that Llywydd is more used now than Presiding Officer. However, if a person held the position before Elin Jones' tenure in 2017, they should be referred to the title, as it was known then, Presiding Officer.

In terms of the deputy, I think the Welsh term cannot be justified in primacy, the Senedd themselves use "Deputy Presiding Officer" not the Welsh term, and minimal secondary sources too, although the Welsh can be included in parenthesis after the English, but not required and it could become cluttering. Ofc, should the Senedd use the Welsh term for deputy in the future and sources follow then this situation would be different. But I'd argue DPO is to be used universally for now, while Llywydd only on holders post-2017. Just because the main post is in Welsh doesn't mean the deputy is to be aswell. Ideally, deputy should be split off. Same applies to referring to the legislature, and its members, as an Assembly for situations solely before 2020. DankJae 11:30, 19 December 2023 (UTC)
