List Names

I have organised the lists by principal area (Unitary authorities), but in some cases this causes too large a list. Lists that include coord's run out of room above about 250 entries, so I have subdivided these by various means. If anyone has suggestions on how to improve the naming systems I have used for these - or the way I have subdivided them - please suggest below, before I create the pages. My hope is to quickly arrive at a workable consensus with these.

There will then be plenty of editing/improvement work that can be done on the entries to the actual lists - filling in details, refs, pictures, etc, to give the lists a fully rounded content. More details on how to improve the list will be on the talk page of each list. If you want to adopt a list, and work your way down it, adding in the extra information, that would be great.

Sub-divisions of lists

Great work on creating the lists. I can see why Powys, for example, is still in progess with over 900 sites! An alternative organisation for Powys might be to split it into communities. Some of the communities are larger in area than some of the populous unitary authorities in South Wales. Certainly from my own perspective, I'm interested in all sites in an area, rather than by historic ages. Splitting ,eg Powys, into historic counties does subdivide by area, but still leaves rather long lists... Again, from a purely personal perspective, I've found it easier and less daunting to work on a shortish list like Torfaen (24 sites) than Monmouthshire (196 sites).Robevans123 (talk) 11:59, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

NPRN number

I am thinking of adding Coed-y-Cymdda to List of Scheduled Monuments in Vale of Glamorgan. This has a Coflein page with NPRN 301312. It seems likely that this was a scheduled monument before its destruction, but I can't find an SAM number. As this site was an ancient monument in the National Monuments Record of Wales it probably was scheduled. How can we confirm this and get its SAM number? Verbcatcher (talk) 17:46, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
