Talk:Listed buildings in England

More Images edit

I have recently uploaded 3 images of Chantry House Henley-on-Thames to Wikimedia Commons. The most suitable I have added next to the entry in the South Oxfordshire section of grade 1 listed buildings. I see that other entries have links to "more images" under their image. This seems to link to a Category. Their is no Category for Chantry House H-on-T that I can find. I am not competent to create one. I think it would be valuable to have this link as the particular building is of note for having 2 stories on one side and 3 on the other. SovalValtos (talk) 10:00, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Done. I created the cat on Commons & added a link.— Rod talk 10:29, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Wow! So quickly. I am really grateful. I was considering adding one image to the Henley-on-Thames page, but as there is nothing there currently about Chantry House, it would mean writing something and I have not yet learnt how to reference/cite. I have only been editing for a month. The alternative would be to add it to the Gallery at the bottom of the H-On-T page, which I like, as it is selective in its use of images from Commons H-on-T. However I believe the gallery should not exist, but should be replaced by a link to Commons. I know this is not relevant to Listed buildings in England, but again I do not know how to put it in H-on-T talk as well! SovalValtos (talk) 11:22, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
