Initial Comments

I hope someone can answer me. I just don't get it, how the list of white africans can relate to racism directly? Because in the "See also" section of this article there's the link that directs to the racism article. I personally, find this whole page irrelevant, but if someone really insists on keeping it, than please re title list of Africans of european ancestry, as most Tunisians, Algerians and Moroccans consider themselves 'white', but none are listed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.112.128.230 (talk) 05:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree that most of the people who will find this list of interest will probably only be those who fall into the category themselves (speaking as one of them). But I also think that it has a right to exist, for that same reason. — Gk sa (talk) 12:39, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Hain

J.R.R Tolkien not South African

Surely irrelevant - this would apply to Paul Kruger, Jan Smuts, Jan van Riebeeck etc. too. And adding unknown flags according to the ruling status at the time adds no insight...

Citations?

Since this is merely a list of links to WP articles about each of these persons, does it need to be flagged for WP:V? Justifications for inclusion should be found in the articles themselves. — Gk sa (talk) 12:39, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

I agree with this - I was about to suggest the same. Further, if citations were required how would this be done - a note for each entry, linking to the Wikipedia entry for each person? 41.132.217.105 (talk) 17:32, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Qualifying for this list

I changed "notable" to "internationally notable" to set a more specific scope for the list. Africans of European ancestry that are only locally notable should probably be included in nation-specific lists, instead. Please remove those that would not qualify to be internationally notable according to majority consensus. — Gk sa (talk) 12:39, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
