Letters in timezone columns
I have added hidden letters to the start of each column in order to make sure that the sorting puts all of the timezones into chronological order (i.e. -2 before -1 before +0 before +1) rather than alphabetical order (i.e. +0 before +1 before -1 before -2). However, the only way I could easily do this is by using letters: one letter is used for each whole timezone offset, from "a" for -11, through "l" for +0 to "z" for +14. For each timezone not on a full hour offset, such as +3:30, I used one letter, which is the same as the next whole-hour time zone heading east, followed by another character (i.e. +3:30 uses "p-" as +4 uses "p"). The character is "-" for an extra half hour, "/" for an extra three-quarters of an hour. If you have any problems with this, message me. ZanderSchubert (talk) 09:31, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, where are the code of this region/countries?

- The reason why the following locations aren't listed are as follows:
- Bouvet Island isn't listed at all in the tz database, so it doesn't have a code.
- The Heard and McDonald Islands are uninhabited, so the people who maintain the tz database have decided not to allocate a code to the island group
- "Zaire" was the name of the country before 1997: it is now the Dem. Rep of Congo. Either way, that area is covered by the codes Africa/Kinshasa and Africa/Lubumbashi.
