The genus Truncatiramus in its entirety is synonymous with Erettopterus, so all its species are classified in this genus. T. perryensis is not even classified in Erettopterus or Truncatiramus, but in Acutiramus. By the way, Symontopterus is a preoccupied name, it is now called Strobilopterus. And there are also several missing eurypterids, as practically all species of Megalograptus (except M. alveolatus), Erieopterus eriensis and E. hypsophthalmus and Eocarcinosoma batrachophthalmus.
