First driverless subway in 1964

I think it's noteworthy that the first driverless train actually ran in revenue service in 1964, three years before the victoria line, in Barcelona, Spain. New layout

Cleanup

I am giving the list a complete makeover. Limiting the scope to trains and excluding people movers to make the list match the title of the page. I will also order the systems after their degree of driverlessness. Kyolma (talk) 06:52, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I suggest removing all the ATO with driver systems to a separate page - these are in no way driverless and confuse the issue. They are automatic metro systems, a separate category. Kneepit2000 (talk) 15:45, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Quality issue

This list is a mess. The writing is colloquial, with lots of useless details, information is repeated, I don't know where to start. Hektor (talk) 20:53, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

It would be helpful to change the name of this page to "list of driverless and unattended metro lines" but I don't know how to do that. I will also work on separating out driverless (grade of automation 3 - with train captain) from UTO (totally unattended) lines Kneepit2000 (talk) 15:38, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

I would leave the name as it is but I agree it is a mess. I think the lines within the same metro can be grouped onto one line. e.g. see Paris Metro. I don't see why it is important to detail in this list the type of control system used. Is that for comparision? Shouldn't it be on every entry, perhaps in a table. Also some of the entries in the "Future systems and lines" are now active. It would be helpful if entries in this section had estimated opening dates so editors can quickly focus on entries that need to be checked and possibly moved. Toulouse

Toulouse (France) metro lines A and B are too fully automated since they opened.

Barcelona line 11 is due to driverless operation in a short term, some sections of the fully automated line 9 are soon to be opened and line 2 will be converted to. --81.184.178.200 (talk) 23:23, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Torino
