Are timber companies really classified as REITs? edit

- Yes, at least for this U.S. list. Real estate investment trust#United States says that a company becomes an REIT by filing a legal document, not by anyone's opinion here about timber companies. All 3 timber REITs in this list describe themselves as REITs, so the paperwork must have been filed. Art LaPella (talk) 05:49, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

I don't know how complete you want your list to be. But this list is about twice as long as yours, even if I only count the NYSE exchange stocks. Art LaPella (talk) 23:46, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
