If this article is intended to include programs like Google Summer of Code, it needs a better name, because Google Summer of Code is not a programming contest. --Asmeurer (talkcontribs) 16:57, 26 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Should it be renamed into List of competitive programming events, and stay as a stand-alone article? It will be consistent with how it is done for other sports, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Lists_of_sports_events Birdofpreyru (talk) 17:10, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
