List edit

The list of indictees currently contains 86 of the 161 indictees. I would like to expand it to a complete listing but wonder if it shouldn't be moved onto its own page. Any opinions? Rmhermen 15:27, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

The list now contains 147 names - the same number as on the drop down list at ICTY Indictments. Are the rest, some 14, still under sealed indictments? Rmhermen 15:08, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Most of the rest either had their indicments withdrawn or died. There should only be 2 or 3 still missing from the list. Rmhermen 15:54, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
I found one more name and recounted - I think the list is complete now. Rmhermen 16:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
I was Bold and moved the list to List of ICTY indictees. Rmhermen 16:58, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have made a few updates to those who were captured in 2005 during the big spree of indictees turning themselves in. The link to Balkans Cooperation on War Crimes link, under references, lists many individuals that have been turned in to the Hague but have not been updated on this page. Where is, for example, Duško Tadić? --Breadandcheese (talk) 17:23, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

He used to be there - someone removed several names. I will restore it as quickly as I can identify all the changes. Rmhermen (talk) 17:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Turns out no one removed any names - there was just a badly formed reference messing things up. Rmhermen (talk) 18:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

whereabouts of indictees at large edit

[1] NEW YORK, United States -- In her regular report to the UN Security Council on Wednesday (7 June), UN war crimes tribunal chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte requested that the Hague tribunal be given authority to arrest six war crimes suspects who remain at large. She said Ratko Mladic, Zdravko Tolimir, Goran Hadzic and Stojan Zupljanin are believed to be in Serbia, adding that information also links Serbia to the cases of Radovan Karadzic, whose whereabouts are not known, and Vlastimir Djordjevic, believed to hiding in Russia.

alphabetical sorting edit

I agree with alphabetical sorting (of last names). I just didn't notice before it was sorted in this way because last names are written after first names. Lakinekaki 20:35, 24 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

This may be an annoying change to make, but does anyone think the table should be split into categories such as "guilty, innocent, at large, etc....?"

I prefer the alphabetic list - especially as many of the trials are not completed yet. And I means much less to change when one needs updating. Rmhermen 17:30, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

There are no indictees without indictments edit

The list of ICTY indictees is very useful, but shouldn't the link to the indictments be made directly off the list instead of at the link discussing the individuals themselves? And actually, there should be lists of the indictments too with lists of indictees for each indictment. At the very least, the Indictments column should include a link to the actual indictment document.

This is my first wikipedia post, can I assume that I could create such list of indictments and post it? Or, could I edit the current list to include those links?PaulPk 20:11, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

needs updating somewhat edit

Could someone check Lahi Brahimaj please? I think he neefs to be updated to be kept in line with Ramush Haradinaj and Idriz Balaj, as all three of them were tried together, and are being retried together. I am now preparing to tag teh entire article as such...--Thehistorian10 (talk) 17:53, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

many serbs edit

Why many serbs? And less of them Acquitted --Kaiyr (talk) 19:03, 25 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gruban edit

The first Gruban entry, which reads

Indictment withdrawn
Gruban (first name unknown)

has been hidden as there is something not kosher here. See Gruban Malić article and this AFD. Quis separabit? 00:22, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Further, I rv (BRD) this case for lack of information and as being of questionable relevance at best. Again, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gruban Malić for more info. Quis separabit? 13:36, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Withdrawn indictments edit

Some withdrawn indictments had no charges listed. For the sake of consistency and justice fairness I removed the charges from the remaining individuals whose indictments had been withdrawn.

I believe this was correct, however if anyone feels strongly about it I will not object to the restoration of the text in question. Quis separabit? 14:18, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
