Orphaned references in List of most expensive animated films

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of most expensive animated films's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "opening":

  • From Coco (2017 film): D'Alessandro, Anthony (November 26, 2017). "Thanksgiving B.O. At $268M, +3% Over 2016 Spurred By 'Coco' & Holdovers – Sunday Update". Deadline.com. Retrieved November 26, 2017.
  • From Cars 3: "'Cars 3' $53M+ Is Third Best Debut For Pixar Series; 'Wonder Woman' Still Wows With $40M+; 'All Eyez On Me' Solid". Deadline.com. Penske Business Media, LLC. Retrieved June 18, 2017.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 11:46, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

Timelines

Hi all! This article fascinates me and, while niche, I think actually catalogues a very interesting piece of animation history. That being said, I think a significant portion of it may be incorrect. Initially, I just thought it was missing the 2001 Final Fantasy film which I knew was the most expensive animated film at its time of release (honestly, I probably would never have heard of it otherwise). The plan was then to use boxofficemojo to track back past 1989 and create as cohesive a timeline prior to the release of the Little Mermaid as possible.

However, after doing some digging, it appears there are significantly more issues than I initally realized. Not only was The Black Cauldron (released 1985) more expensive than The Little Mermaid (released 1989), but the list was also missing The Lion King (1994) and Pocohantas (1995), both of which cost more than The Little Mermaid to produce. So far, I have only even looked at Disney films, and there's at least 3 missing items and 1 erroneous item on the list of most expensive films made since 1985. I have personally made an excel sheet and am going to spend a while attempting to fix up this timeline - however, I wanted to post something on the talk page as my edits may not be final (some of this information, especially pre-1990, is fairly hard to find), and as there are likely significant edits incoming. If anyone has any suggestions of other reputable sources of film budgets, by all means, any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
