- Probably because we've been covering Japanese-built aircraft and haven't thought to cover Japanese-used aircraft yet. But I don't see any reason why not, though we might want to separate them out? —Morven 06:15, 16 May 2004 (UTC)
Getting full-page borders
Anybody know how to expand the only final column so that the whole table spans the full width of the page (without distorting the others)? I'm looking for a way to code it to work automatically rather than play around trying to find the exact field size needed for each and every table. F-X
What's this F-X entry on the fighter section? Is it just a temporary desigation for a potential foreign design? Also, I'm pretty sure the F-22 page mentions that the plane isn't likely to be exported anytime soon if this is the case - Masterblooregard 08:15, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
F-86 Sabre
The F-86 article says that Japan acquired 480 Sabres between 1955 and 1961. Vgy7ujm (talk) 22:03, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
And they have a pic to prove it. The page for the F-86D (a different aircraft from the F-86), also states that it was acquired by the JASDF. Somebody who knows the precise dates and numbers should add these. Vicarious Tendril (talk) 04:24, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Grumman Avengers

F-X Information update
"Next generation main combat aircraft designed to replace the aging F-4EJ. Current possible replacements standings are Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet or Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II."
According to Japanese news sources, primarily NHK, the Eurofighter Typhoon was also considered, and as of December the final decision is the F-35, with delivery being estimated as Spring of 2016. The exact number of airframes was included, but I lost the article, as it appears that NHK periodically purges their site of older articles. (75.65.220.111 (talk) 14:47, 10 January 2012 (UTC))
