Should Correction Department added to this list? RayYung (talk) 20:47, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Private Security

I do not believe that private security "agencies" belong here. I've removed a few, but some are not so easy to identify. What do you think? --Nricardo (talk) 16:34, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Law enforcement in New York

I'm currently drafting an article entitled "Law enforcement in New York" in my sandbox. Feel free to come and help with the first state law enforcement article. ninety:one 23:23, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Corrections / other agencies

Amtrak should be under federal.

Some of these oddities look like they're missing:

US Coast Guard

Shouldn't the United States Coast Guard Sector New York be listed as a federal agency rather than a state agency? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.78.92.165 (talk) 07:26, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

The Coast Guard was already listed under federal, so I've removed it from state. —C.Fred (talk) 13:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Missing County agencies. Comment

The following agencies are missing from the article. I am not sure if they are missing by accident or for some reason. I am listing them below for inclusion at a later date if there are no objections:

Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (police)

Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (Police) is now MTA Bridges and Tunnels as listed https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-announces-transformational-plan-reimagine-new-york-s-bridges-and-tunnels-21st — Preceding unsigned comment added by JMiller77 (talkcontribs) 01:00, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

The linked reference supports keeping the current name of Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority Police. The reference states: "Approximately 525 TBTA officers will provide security and traffic management at bridges and tunnels and..." The spanish version of the linked reference, located at https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/governor.ny.gov/files/atoms/files/10.05.16.rel_.BRIDGES_Spanish.pdf states: "Aproximadamente 525 policías de la Autoridad del Túnel y Puente Triborough (TBTA, por sus siglas en inglés) administrarán la seguridad y el tráfico en puentes y túneles y..." both refer to the TBTA. Is there another reference available? HugoHelp (talk) 03:09, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
