ERV4 and ERV6 Online? edit

AESO lists them as active generating capacity and they have both generated 20MW for some periods (late September).[1]https://www.aeso.ca/market/market-updates/2023/new-asset-chappice-lake-chp1-notice-2/ See also Dispatcho [2]https://www.dispatcho.app/live/ERV6?b=1695810720&e=1696081800 Braillegrenade (talk) 20:46, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree that they are operational. They have AESO unit ids and there are news articles that can be cited which state they have both been energized. Druidat (talk) 17:21, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Druidat. ERV7, 8, and 9 are also online to the AESO doesn't really show much info on them. Dispatcho does, though. Enfinite has press releases on them, too. Braillegrenade (talk) 00:07, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Renewable Generating Station Status edit

The fossil fuel section of the list has 5 status colours, one of which "Facilities partially operational". This status difficult to define for renewable units due to the highly variable nature of their power production. I'd suggest that it not be applied to renewable facilities and that they achieve fully operational status based on citations.

To avoid confusion with the Fossil fuels section, the Renewable section should clearly indicate which statuses apply. Druidat (talk) 17:53, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yup, essentially all the claims that wind / solar plants are "partially operational" are done without any citation supporting that. The fact is, these plants almost never achieve their nominal power output, so for all intents and purposes they are always partially operational. Pkirvan (talk) 17:36, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
