Images edit

Why all of a sudden are the images a problem on this page? They've been here since the article and now someone wants them gone because of how they look on their browser?? They don't cause any problems in my browserS (IE, FF, Opera or Safari). I think the images should be left alone, as they were. -- ALLSTAR ECHO 00:24, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Vitaswest.JPG edit

Image:Vitaswest.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

May Sarton edit

It is not clear whether May Sarton was gay vs. bisexual. I looked at the reference cited, and as far as I can find it says neither, so I don't understand why it is being cited at all.....and certainly it doesn't address whether she was lesbian vs. bisexual.

It seems clear that she was either gay or bisexual, but not clear which. I looked at many sources about her a while back -- most say she was gay, some say bisexual. It would be helpful to know their basis for this, esp the source that says bisexual. The sources that say gay are likely to be assuming this based on her well-known and long lasting relationships with women, as well as her writing. Sources that say she was bisexual may have more info on the gay vs bisexual question? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.245.26.230 (talk) 15:06, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Peter Scott-Morgan edit

Hi, I’ve been working on a BLP of Dr. Peter Scott-Morgan who’s notable for non-LGBT issues – though in my research I discovered he and his partner also helped change same-sex immigration law in the USA. The BBC coverage (which I've cited here as the reliable source, though there are also a few others referenced on Peter Scott-Morgan) about him having been the first civil partner in Devon, UK (with his partner of 27 years) shows he's clearly very proud of his partnership, so I thought it might be interesting to add this bridge between the two very-different entries. Also I've added a Copyright-Free picture (that's also on the "First civil partners in UK" wikisection). On Scott-Morgan's official website he makes it clear that he maintains dual citizenship but is English by birth, so I wasn't sure how you'd want me to reflect that in his entry. Hope the contribution is helpful and OK.LisaNotsimpson (talk) 15:09, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

WHY does this list even exist??? edit

Is there a list of heterosexual people? Of people madly in love with their hamsters? Infatuated with their sewing machines? What is the POINT in terms of an encyclopdia???

Most people who have Wikipedia articles at all either are or were heterosexual, so a list of them would be unmaintainable. And if you think being LGBT is in any way comparable to being in love with a hamster or a sewing machine, you have much bigger problems than the existence of lists of people in an encyclopedia.
