Talk:List of films split into multiple parts

Faulty assumption edit

It seems to me that this article is based on a false assumption - that films broken into multiple parts is something new. Obviously, there have been serials for a long time, this continues with some clear examples of feature-length films not designed to stand on their own (example: The Empire Strikes Back), and adaptations have previously been broken into multiple films (The Godfather Part II uses parts of the source novel that were not used in the first film).

And even if you're just looking at the current vogueness of it, you've left off Atlas Shrugged: Part I. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:28, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
