There is now a discussion at WP:FOR on the formatting and content of "List of diplomatic missions" articles. As this discussion ostensibly could affect this article, editors are encouraged to provide their opinions on the WP:FOR at this link - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_International_relations#Formatting_of_diplomatic_missions_lists - please do not discuss on this article talk page as valid points for consideration may very well not be seen by editors at large. Ack edit

Sorry for the edit summary. My closing bracket got cut off. --Blehfu (talk) 05:24, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Layout edit

This article could be so much better, look at List of diplomatic missions in Ottawa and then compare it to this. The articles are there, if there could only be a table like in 'List of diplomatic missions in Ottawa' then this would be excellent. 95jb14 (talk) 16:12, 24 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Note that the Ottawa list is a branch from List of diplomatic missions in Canada. 198.161.32.150 (talk) 00:51, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Libya edit

The Libyan embassy in London will re-open today (9-8-11) under control of the National Transitionl Council. I suggest that we add this embassy to the embassies/ high commissions section using the 1951 Libyan flag and the description "Libya (NTC)". e.g.

  Libya (NTC) [1]

Why Exclude Vice- Consulates edit

Vice- consulates are run by full time staff, why are they excluded? Are there even any Vice- counsulates in the UK? 94.2.130.29 (talk) 13:43, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

proposal to change link structure edit

I was thinking of changing the links so that rather then linking to the country itself it goes to the 'the embassy of X in London' instead (as the links in the drop-down box do). I was going to make a page for each embassy, and as I've recently moved down to London will go around and take a photo for each one to make it look better. Should be good when it's all finished.

Update edit

I've updated the lists on this page in line with the most recent Diplomatic List on the FCO website (October 2013). I've also added a section for Honorary Consuls and one for states with no representation, and have added also all the embassies to the box at the bottom, with a page for each one coming in due course.

Honorary Consuls edit

Hi, I didn't realise HC's are not included on these sorts of pages. My main idea was to include all states on this page, including one's with no representation in the UK. I would have to put the HC states now in the 'no representation', but surely strictly speaking this is not true if they have a HC....

Have added them to the 'unrepresented' list with a note as appropriate Sdrawkcab (talk) 20:30, 28 October 2013 (UTC)sdrawkcabReply

Just a reminder! edit

Hi! I just made a change that it's not possible to travel to Tehran at all, if we will go to the Syrian Embassy accredited to the United Kingdom. What I wanted to tell you that the easiest way to go to Syrian Embassy accredited to the United Kingdom is in Moscow. Please, accept it! ;) --62.63.238.28 (talk) 12:18, 29 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
