• No, I did not. I prefered KG, since it would be rather impractical with 0.265 tonnes for example. I simply think kg fits better here, won't need a decimal point. To translate lbs into tonnes, without decimals would be corruption of the data. So, thus kg. It simply avoids a decimal place, that'd be needed otherwise. --Vidarlo 16:16, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

@GraemeLeggett Kilogram is the official SI unit, while tonne can be confused with short tons and long tons. the values in tonne like they are now make little sense, why have three decimal places when Kilogram can be used. 89.8.211.108 (talk) 18:49, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

Maybe, but it has not developed lineary, it has peaked at each world war, so I'd say it'd do little. Just my 0.02$. --vidarlo 19:09, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Table sortability

Hmm, with the way the headings and numbers are currently, adding Help:Sorting could be tricky. But it would add value to the article, seeing as it's not like we are adding new rows all the time ;)  — MrDolomite • Talk 17:03, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Ships that can't fire all main guns broadside

The Omaha class cruisers mounted 12 x 6" 53 cal guns, with four in turrets that could be trained to either side and eight in casemates with limited traverse. Since this is a list of broadsides, and the Omaha class could only fire eight guns to either side, I moved them down the list. I'd like to be able to note this briefly on the page, but everything I can think of is longwinded. Anyone have any ideas? TomTheHand 18:58, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
