Talk:List of best-selling albums in Belgium

Dubious edit

The definition given by Ultratop is 20,000 records for a platina album. Lotti goes Classic has 12* platina, as has Stromae, but Lotti is given as 600,000 copies and Stromae as 360,000 copies. Neither matches the definition given. Fram (talk) 15:15, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Lotti's multi platinum level was achieved in 1998, while Stromae's was achieved in 2015. By that time platinum levels were reduced by 50,000 for platinum to 20,000 for platinum. Albums in Belgium are certified by release dates. Certification levels are explained at Belgian Entertainment Association wiki page. Dhoffryn (talk) 15:26, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Those levels need then to be explained and sourced in this article. And 12* 20,000 would be 240,000 for Stromae, not 360,000. Fram (talk) 15:38, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'll fix it and it. Dhoffryn (talk) 15:46, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

The list also seems incomplete or arbitrary; we have Axelle Red (150,000 copies for triple platinum in 2007) but not Clouseau Vonken en Vuur or Spring, both triple platinum in the same year. The 100,000 entries seem especially sparse, missing from 2007 alone Clouseau20, Enya with 3(!) albums, Eric Clapton unplugged, Il Divo, Justin Timberlake, Manu Chao, Norah Jones, REM, Radiohead, Raphael or U2. That's 15 entries missing from that year alone. Fram (talk) 15:52, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Some years from BEA are not opening at all so I could not add those ones. List is incomplete and wanted to add like I have been doing with other pages as well. Dhoffryn (talk) 16:11, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
But you already had 7 entries sourced to 2007? Fram (talk) 16:27, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Pages work sometimes, sometimes don't (at least to me). Some I have known from before (when it was available), and through other articles on wiki. Dhoffryn (talk) 16:31, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
