Talk:List of bandy clubs in the United States

Merger proposal edit

I propose to merge List of bandy clubs in the United States, American Bandy Association, and American Bandy League into a new article titled, Bandy in the United States. These three articles are all short, with a significant amount of overlap. A single article could include all of the information contained in those three, and present a more robust and better organized view of the topic. Please discuss this proposal at Talk:List of bandy clubs in the United States. -- RoySmith (talk) 23:57, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • I know, great, noone else ever works on bandy at Wikipedia... Bandy boy (talk) 09:04, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I think List of bandy clubs in the United States may very well be merged into American Bandy League, but American Bandy Association is another sort of article all together and should stand on its own. Bandy boy (talk) 09:04, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I've put together a draft of a merged article. See User:RoySmith/Bandy in the United States. My personal opinion is that none of the individual teams need their own articles, but since that question is currently being hashed out in multiple AfDs, I've left those links as is for now. -- RoySmith (talk) 12:48, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Your draft doesn't explain the nature of ABA, one might think it's part of the league itself instead of being a governing body. Bandy boy (talk) 10:43, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've added a few words to emphasize that the league and the association are distinct entities. Thanks for pointing that out. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:18, 26 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
