Talk:List of airline codes/Archive 1

Edit request from Grantcov, 1 August 2010

edit

Airline code P8 is now Air Mekong, which will begin operations from Vietnam this year. http://blog.seattlepi.com/worldairlinenews/archives/211162.asp

Wikipedia shows Air Mekong as a defunct Cambodian airline having carrier code M8 that ceased operations in 2003. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mekong_Airlines

So, both airline codes and Wikipedia entry from Air Mekong need to be updated. Grantcov (talk) 04:43, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Note well that the data pages are not protected. But were updated. Vegaswikian (talk) 05:19, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

On page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_codes-A

Please change country name "Air São Tomé and Príncipe" to "São Tomé and Príncipe" for the airline "Air São Tomé and Príncipe" (IATA: KY, ICAO: EQL).

Reason: The country name is misspelled.

Thank you!!

The call sign should be "CAP". Can't remember when it changed (sometime in the past 2 years, I think?) but it is no longer "CAPFlight". Cmn.jcs (talk) 08:07, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edit request for Airline "DonbassAero", 2 Feb 2011

edit

Please change IATA for the airline "DonbassAero" to "7D".
IATA "5D" is duplicated. The correct airline for "5D" is "Aerolitoral". — Preceding unsigned comment added by RonaldMcDavid (talkcontribs) 15:55, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please change this: MN CAW Comair COMMERCIAL South Africa to: MN CAW Kulula COMMERCIAL South Africa

Because MN refers to Kulula. They are operating as a separate airline in South Africa, but is owned by Comair (Who also owns British Airways Domestic in South Africa)

Sources: https://www.kulula.com/info/faqinfo.aspx#kulula-comair http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kulula.com http://www.planespotters.net/Airline/Kulula.com

Due to a 2008 buyout, Tradewinds Airlines has changed its official (as recognized by ICAO and FAA) name to that of its purchaser "Sky Lease I, Inc." with an ICAO code of KYE (replacing the old TDX). Source: http://www.avcodes.co.uk/airlcoderes.asp and http://www.airlineinfo.com/Sites/DailyAirline/web-content/ostdocket2008/ost080274.html. Sky Lease I is owned by FedEx.

Sky Lease I still uses "Tradewinds" and "Tradewinds Airlines" as DBA (doing business as) names. Their primary DBA name is "Sky Lease Cargo." Source: FAA database and abovementioned URL.

This change may also affect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tradewinds_Airlines. There is no "Sky Lease Cargo" page, so it needs creation (with redirects from "Sky Lease I" and variations). See skyleasecargo.com.

Please change the airline code V7, this used to be de designator for Air Senegal, but this airline no longer exists, instead, IATA has assigned this code to our company:

IATA CODE: V7 ICAO CODE: Volotea

You can check our website www.volotea.com for confirmation, also, this is available in the IATA code search page: http://www.iata.org/ps/publications/Pages/code-search.aspx

But in the IATA page it will show our initial legal name (ALAEO S.L.).
